Electronic disclosure (often referred to as edisclosure or ediscovery) involves the production of documents stored in electronic format. Under CPR part 31, in civil cases, or Police Criminal Evidence Act (1984) in criminal cases, these documents along with their metadata must be disclosed.
Even the simplest dispute may result in each party having to provide thousands of e-mails and user generated documents.
