The Computer Crime Investigation Process

1. Consultation and Incident Response
Our team of forensic experts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for immediate advice and deployment if necessary. This initial consultation is entirely free of charge, and ensures that clear objectives and guidelines are defined.

2. Account Management
Having received instruction to begin a case, evidence will be imaged at the client site or collected by CY4OR and brought to one of our offices for analysis. You will be introduced to the investigator and account manager handling your case, who will be in contact throughout to ensure the investigation runs smoothly.

3. Investigation
Our investigators are trained to the highest standard and are arguably the most qualified forensic team in the UK. We utilise industry standard software and undertake investigations inline with the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) guidelines. All CY4OR staff adhere to strict security and confidentiality procedures across the board.

4. Reporting
Verbal or written interim reports can be made available about the case in hand from the CY4OR investigator. Once the case is completed, a comprehensive, easy to understand written report will be provided, which can include a witness statement if required. All investigators are available to support their findings in court or at tribunal.
